Parking in the Centre
The magnificent city centre of Haarlem was built long before cars were invented. Consequently there is very little parking space in the narrow city centre streets. There are no longer any free parking places in the centre of Haarlem. If you come to Haarlem by car, you can park in one of the multi-storey car parks in the centre, which are open day and night. It will cost you € 1,50 per hour to leave your car in the car park, whilst an hour kerbside parking will cost you € 2,30. However, between 10 pm and 9 am you pay just € 2,- for the whole period or part thereof in the multi-storey car park. What is the cost if I park my car for 24-hours in one of the multi-storey car parks? € 20,- A 7-days parking ticket for only € 35,- At the parking office at the car park entrance “Houtplein” a 12 minute walk from the hotel. At this office you can buy a 7-days parking ticket socalled "weekkaart". this card is valid for the 4 multi-storey car parks only. Where can you find these car parks? There are 4 multi-storey car parks in the centre. These car parks are signposted from the approach roads to Haarlem and are marked on this map. Kerbside parking If you choose to park at the kerbside payment is required between 9am and 10pm. You may take a ticket from a machine, or pay into a seperate meter beside your parking place.
